November report

Oh boy!  Only 20 days until Christmas and 27 days until we all say farewell 2014!! Where is this year going??? Who has completed their Christmas shopping?

We already said goodbye to Spring as summer arrived early.  We had hot days and a couple of doses of good thunderstorms with damaging winds and hail for some areas of the SE coast. Not sure what Mother Nature will continue to have installed, if she is still on her angry path course. I plan on taking a week's summer trip with Monique in the New Year.  Where we plan on staying has a high risk of having tropical cyclones hit if the cells hit inland early.

November was a busy month for me. Besides normal commitments I had attended to an overnighter craft retreat at the Sunshine Coast. It was my first time to stay at this resort and I was quite impressed with the venue.  The staff were friendly, the food was fantastic and the beds were very comfy.   Consider it was only an overnight stay I managed to be productive and worked on two projects.

On the 16th November was the last night of bowling league. On the following week we had our fun night of bowling.  We played two games of bingo, had a BBQ dinner and Rachel managed to win the raffle. She came home with a big bag of goodies for the family to use. At the end of the month we had our official break up party at a sports club.  I did well on the night which you will have to read my sports blog to know the full results.

Monique just finished her year level for the year and she got another academic award.  It was her second year in the row to get another top student award in Art.

The best highlight of my month was seeing two US choppers flying over past my house.  One of them suppose to had the US president on board going home after the G20 convention held in Brisbane.  We had a public holiday on Friday (14th Nov) which was on high security alert for the airport and CBD areas for the welcoming of the world leaders to Brisbane.

All the best for a happy festive season.  I hope your festive celebrations will be full of joy and peaceful with your family. If you have any travel plans over the break, I hope your destination will be a safe journey.
